Hello and welcome to the Lotus and the Moon. My name is Melinda Curtin but everyone calls me Mindy. I am a massage therapist and aspiring herbalist. I provide quality massage therapy and herbal wellness spa treatments on the Central Coast NSW. I run a small massage studio and herbal apothecary here in my home in Davistown, NSW serving the surrounding communities of Saratoga, Yattalunga, Green Point and Kincumber. I am here to help guide you on your path to wellness and wellbeing using massage therapy and the power of natures healing herbs.
As a body worker I believe my mission is not to "fix" you but rather to facilitate and assist your body in its own healing capabilities. In my practice I believe in client based approach. This means I work with you and listen to your individual needs and what you want so that we can create a session together that works for you and your body. There is no one perfect massage so I blend multiple modalities to meet you where you are at and create a unique individual experience for all of my clients.
The massage services I offer include, remedial, relaxation, Lomi Lomi, Shiatsu, Gua Sha lymphatic drainage and sports massage and injury rehabilitation. I also provide a variety of spa treatments using handmade herbal remedies ranging from body scrubs, body wraps, scalp treatments and facials.
I found my passion for massage back in 2016 when attending the Nevada school of massage therapy in the fabulous Las Vegas. Since then have continued my massage journey by learning new modalities and techniques from all of the world So that I can create a truly unique experience for all of my clients.
After I began working as a massage therapist, I wanted to find out what more I could offer to myself and my clients and that was when my love for traditional herbal medicine started. I began to study herbalism in the wise woman tradition and particularly took an interest into topical herbal medicine. I wanted to find a way to integrate the healing power of plants into my massage practice and then the idea for The Lotus and The Moon was born. I began making my own oils, salves and body butters using high quality plant medicine. After perfecting my recipes began creating custom massage and spa treatments to create a quality unique experience for all my clients.
I have worked hard to create a safe space where all are welcome, and I look forward to working with you in the future.

All of the products are made with love using a mixture of handmade infused oils, high quality essential oils and rich carrier oils and butter. I have devoted my time studying herbalism and perfecting my recipes and I am absolutely delighted to share my love of plant magic and the healing power of herbs with you. Each product is handmade and I make sure that each product is high quality and aligns with my ethics so that each product is good for you, the community and the earth.
The ingredients :
All herbal infusions are done by myself using traditional methods and can take up to a month to fully soak in all of the benefits of the plants. When possible I prefer to use homegrown, local and organic ingredients however, when I can't find supplies that aren't I do extensive research to source from people who are operating their business ethically and sustainably.
The packaging:
I have a lot of fun creating the packaging for my products, I design all of the artwork and labels and even print them myself! Being low waste is very important to me and thats why I am always searching to make my packaging as sustainable as possible and keep more things out of landfill. All of the labels and kraft board packed products are are 100% home compostable. All of the glass and metal packaging is recyclable and is intended for a second use. You can always bring your empties back to be sterilized and refilled and as a thank you you will receive a discount on your next purchase!
